The Finish Line
Just a quickie to let you know I’m trying to finish One More Bite today. To be honest, I don’t have spectacularly high hopes. Despite the fact that I know exactly what to write, life tends to interfere, and even if I pull an all-nighter, I may not get it done for another couple of days. Still, I’m gonna try. Because I need as much time as possible to rewrite this puppy. It’s changed course so many times during the creation phase that I’ve got a lot of filling in to do! Especially with one character who I really thought Cole would like, but he didn’t. Now, at the end, I finally understand why. Just wish he’d have told me sooner!

Thanks, Sayuri. I have officially finished the first draft as of now, at two-thirteen p.m. CST. Wahoo! I’m somewhat relieved, but with so much work ahead on the rewrite, going right back to the office to get started on it! Take care!

Woooooot! Congrats.
That’s awesome! And awwwww, bad Cole. *slaps fingers*
On another note, I actually got the job. Not sure if I should be happy or not about the 40 hours work week. Gah.

Gratz Caroline!
Next time Cole decides to be secretive, just tell him Jaz’ll kick the crap outta him if he doesn’t spill :p That should do it.
Congrats on the first draft Jen!

You’re so right. That boy needs a firm hand or he just goes completely out of control!
In other news, I have just wasted the last hour trying to figure out what kinds of trees are native to the Inverness area of Scotland. (Yeah, this is going to take, like, four words of the book, but filling in the scenery is so important you can’t just blow it off. No matter how much you–meaning I–want to!) You’d think this would be easy info to the average researcher. Perhaps I’m not throwing out the right key words today. Screw it. I’m off to contact my inside guy. Surely he’ll know!

Go, Jen, go!

Awwwwww! Thanks so much guys.
I’ll start next monday, so we’ll see how it is! LOL
Haha, awwww. Yeah, some research, even for the things that seem almost insignificant can be quite time consuming!
Inside guy? That sounds VERY FBI!

Yuh, huh. Speaking of which, we were watching the big Barrett-Jackson car auction the other night and I found the BEST spy car for Jaz! Will she have to trade in her Corvette? Not on your life! But we may see her in a Maserati one of these days!http://www.maserati.com/

Trees native to Inverness??? OMG I LOVE YOU!!
*cough* sorry…overexcitment.. anyway, it’s mostly evergreens, pine and the like, but there’s a good few oak trees too
And as for the car… a Maserati?? Are you insane? Best spy car ever is the Aston Martin DB9. Have you learned nothing from James Bond?? LOL
…I have to stop watching Top Gear…

As to Trees in Inverness.
A lot of Birch and many varieties of Pine. ANd a lot of scrub and heather.
I’m afriad that’s about as good has I get when it comes to trees.
Congrats on the Job, Caroline!

Well, you know Jaz, Donna. It’s always gonna have to be faster, hotter and spicier than anything James could come up with.
