Yo!

I really like that word!  No idea why, because I sound ridiculous when I say it out loud.  Sad when you outlive the coolness of some words.  Anyhoo (okay, I think I’m still too young for that one) what a week I have planned for you (and me!) and the rest of the people I know!  Thursday I’ll be welcoming that mystery guest I hinted at last week for some wonderful conversation and a giveaway that I’m very excited about.

But before that, my youngest turns sixteen.  Holy crap, hide your Lexus, Martha, that Rardin boy’s on the road!  Naw, he’s a dern good driver, believe it or not.  Looking forward to the day, because we’re into major spoilage for birthdays around here.  Everybody gets to pick their favorite meals.  He and I have a tradition where I take him to Dog ‘N Suds for lunch and then I’ll have to make the big dinner dessert.  Nope, it probably won’t be cake.  The last few years he’s requested The Cinnamon Roll Fort.  (I’ll try to remember to take a picture for your viewing pleasure.)  We start with big rolls on the bottom and build our way to just one small one on the top, all of which are slathered with white icing.  YUM!  Also, we do the big gift unwrap pretty much as soon as everybody’s awake.  At our house, there’s no such thing as waiting for presents.  We figure, why suffer on a day made for celebrating?  Can’t wait to see his face when he opens…well, I’d better not tell.  He’s just sly enough to check this site ahead of time!

Major time at the laptop is also in my future, since I missed a lot of hours last week.  I’m about a hundred pages into the rewrite of One More Bite and feeling pretty good about how it’s going.  The one character who has continuously eluded me as to who the hell she really is has finally revealed herself.  And how cool has she turned out to be?  I totally get why she was being mysterious now!  Also, I just have to tell you, the sizzle between Vayl and Jaz is practically melting my desk.  Nothing gross, I promise.  But, whew!  I may have to open a window pretty soon!  If only Cole would–well, I’ll just have to wait and let you figure out what Cole’s up to, won’t I?

I actually only use ‘Yo’ online, I love the greeting, but you sound so ghetto saying it! LOL

*waits patiently for thursday* I do hope to remember checking in. O.o Work tends to distract me lately.

And awwwwwww! Happy bday to your son. :D That sounds so delicious, demand a pic, just so I can be jealous and probably put up a few pounds by just thinking about eating it, haha!

And oooh, mysterious. Love the sound of that book… Jaz and Vayl’s chemistry is amazing and looking forward to the new mysterious character!

I use the work Yo only when talking to my friend Mo. Sound funny but when I get to work I say “Yo, Mo whats up.”

Happy birthday to your son, spoil him like crazy.

Ahh a tease, first with Vayl and Jaz now… with Cole. *Sigh* I can’t wait till Bitten to Death is out, that will be a great birthday present for me.

Am still mourning the disappearance of Cinnabon, and I’m angrily jealous of your Cinnamon Roll Fort. You’re spoiled and I’m deprived! ;-)

We don’t even have Tim Horton’s in Oz… *sigh* *cry*

    Have a lovely day! :-)

We are terribly spoiled sometimes. But I promise we try to keep it to a minimum in our house! Even so, it’s about to get really, squealy fun around here! (Hee-hee–hee!)

Cinnamon Roll? Oh yeah its a danish isnt it? Hate to think of the calories. Mind you you’ll be sweating it off thanks to Vayl and Jaz Jenn. LOL Ive only got to think about it and I can feel the “pound” squad turning up to invade. LOL

Seriously though hope a great time is had by all and I suspect that a certain “mom” is going to get more fun out of it than the birthday boy. LOL
