Merry Christmas, Dammit!

That seems to be the general theme as I do my last-minute shopping. People at the checkout, or just passing by, will end the conversation with a somewhat aggressive, “Merry Christmas!” Like they expect me to jump down their throats for wishing me good tidings at this time of year. Hey, I’m not that picky. Throw me a Happy Hanukkah or a Blessed Solstice and I’m just as willing to throw it right back atcha. I like that you’re wishing me well. It’s supah sweet of you, especially considering you’re probably up to your eyeballs in unwrapped presents and last-minute baking too! So thanks! I think you’re terrific, and May the Force Be With You!!

(Speaking of which, who is taking advantage of the big sales after the holidays? Count me in! I’ve got my eye on this go-jus skirt I’ve been wanting for literally months. That sucker better have a big red tag on it when I go looking!)

    Merry Christmas Jen!!
It’s less than 6 hours till the big midnight in my half of the hemisphere.

I sure did take advantage of the pre-Christmas shopping hours. Got to the shops at 9.15pm and didn’t get a parking spot until 9.45. Totally chockers. But it was worth it for a girls night out with Mum and big sis. :D And got to squeeze in some last minute shopping and present ideas.

Froeliche Weinachten! Hee hee. And have a happy you know what. Oh, and thanks for the force-y wishes. That’s very zen of you, Jen. Zen…Jen…huh. I wonder what THAT means… Well, as Freud sorta said, sometimes an author is just an author :-)

  3. Vale Says:

Merry Christmas to you all! Buon Natale a tutti!

Yes, I think I’ll definitetly go and check out the sales when they start. (I’ve got my eyes on a thick pyjamas with a snowman on it!)

  4. Emma Says:

Merry Christmas to you and yours Jenn.

Sales I love them, what’s better than clothes at 70% off. Where I am in the UK, they’ve already started sales in some stores. Which is a shame, coz I don’t get paid till New Years Eve.

I’m in the need for a new pair of caterpillar boots, hopefully I can find a pair with a reduced tag on…fingers crossed.

  5. Shannon Says:

    Merry crimbo to you Jen!!

Hell yeah! Luurrrrve the after xmas sales. Its great when I go to my favourite clothes store, where everythings usually expensive, and its all half price =D =D

  6. Emily Says:

    Merry Christmas everyone!
Sales are awesome; I have just asked mainly for money this Christmas, so I can go on a giant shopping spree afterwards and get loads more stuff than I would have done before. Fun :D

  7. Sophie Says:

    Merry Christmas everyone!

Love the sales, browsing them online as we speak, so tempting! As with Emma, some of the sales have already started in the shops or start boxing day! Expect much madness and elbow shoving! Cosy jumpers nd cardigans are calling me, it’s so cold here!

  8. jrardin Says:

I’m excited for you Bec! Hope you have fun!

True, Zita. We really can’t help ourselves.

I’ll bet they’re adorable, Vale! Hope you save lotsa moolah! (That’s Midwestern slang for money, honey!)

Aw, what a shame you have to wait, Emma! Here’s hoping you get your bargains galore!

    Woot! You go, Shannon!

Genius move, Emily! Hope you’re swimming in goodies by the time you’re done!

Just thinking about cardigans gives me happy feelings, Sophie. Best of luck to you! (It’s warm and raining here, but maybe we’ll have snow tomorrow. Ya never know!)

  9. Penny W Says:

Happy Christmas! I hope yours are dandy. Santa was pretty good to us. Lady K is prancing around the house between the hewgah dollhouse Santa brought and the Home Depot My First Workbench (and all the little powertools that came with) and the fooseball table. I think she’ll be heading for a nap anytime now.

  14. jrardin Says:

Lady K must’ve been a good girl this year. Yay for her!
