The Winner & Other Great News
Congratulations to Lilly K, you are the winner of Lilith Saintcrow’s awesome book, Working for the Devil! If you’ll e-mail me your address (just click on the contact bar at the top of the page) I’ll make sure you get it. And thanks again, Lilith. You’re terrific!
Please also note that if you go to the My Books section of this site, you can now read an excerpt of Bitten to Death, which will be in stores before we know it! Specifically August 12 in the US and September 4 in the UK. In that section you can also get a look at the cover of book five of the Jaz Parks series, One More Bite. It’s my favorite so far. Sooo hot!
Another cool change to the website is the Become a Fan! Facebook button on the sidebar. I’ve been spending quite a bit of time on Facebook lately. It’s freaking addictive! So if you’re into that part of the Internet, feel free to join me there sometime. I’m still learning the ropes, but I do have a pet dragon named Feerce who enjoys being petted and fed. And I try to leave Notes about writing for my fans at least twice a week.
I’m also still on MySpace at www.myspace.com/jenniferrardin. I blog about once a week there and do my best to keep track of my friends. In between all this social networking I am writing. I just can’t tell you about any of it yet. But I promise, as soon as I’m free to wag my tongue, your ears will be burning!

Just read the description for One More Bite and oh my god, it made my Jaz/Vayl heart beat a little faster.

Crap, I forgot (until now) how exciting it was to have new Jaz to read! NOW I remember missing my bus stop. Thanks for posting that excerpt, looking veeeeery promising so far!
As for covers – I think my favourite is the UK book 1 cover. Love the lips!
Random – it’s my 21st birthday today (as of one hour and 25 minutes ago!) and my dad bought me a gold and silver bracelet. I’m trying to figure out what to do with it. Any suggestions what a total tomboy does with fine jewellery?

one of the best things about a new book comming out is the excitment in the air its like pressure build up unitl the release of the book then…WHOOSCH!!!!! and then constant silence while we all read…then chatter about how great it is! yay i love it!

Wheeee, so I just preordered Bitten to Death on amazon.de. For August 11th.
I thought I’d give them more time to get my order this time around! LOL
August seems to be avery rewarding months book wise for me.
I also read Stephenie Meyer’s series and that comes out on the 2nd.

You guys are so terrific! Glad you’re looking forward to August!
Happy birthday, Phoebe! My dad used to get me jewelry I totally didn’t know what to do with either. Just don’t lose it! That seemed to be my tendency.
I like Stephenie Meyer’s stuff as well. Edward is yummie, yes? Anybody following the setup for the movie? The guy who’s playing him seems to be very well cast.

Edward is veeeeeeeeery yummy, for some reason I’m fairly worried that they can’t quite capture the intensity of the books in the movie though… I dunno. I guess it’s because I have to get used to the actors, for some reason I have a very specific idea of the people in the books and not the whole casting they did fit with my mental images. I’m happy to be surprised though, quite interested how the movie will turn out in the end. And Robert Pattinson is growing quite a lot on me as Edward as the time progresses, even though I wasn’t happy about him at all at the start. Ahhh, I love me some vampire fiction!

August is definatly the best month of the year. I’m not just saying that because my birthday’s in August. Aww who am I kidding, my birthday doesn’t even compare with Bitten to Death and Breaking Dawn. I’m knawing off all my fingernails waiting. These are the times that I really wish I had a time machine. Someone should build one. Actually I think I’ll go work on that now. And do you really think he’s a good Edward. I don’t think he does him justice at all. But then no human ever could.

I think you’re right, possibly no human could live up to our fantasy vamps. But I’m sure willing to let ‘em try!

I read somewhere that Henry Cavill was the author’s idea of Edward. Sigh.
June 3rd, 2008 at 1:22 pm
He was.
I read that when the books were still vaguely unpopular and Stephenie was fantasising about a movie. He would have been ideal.
