Happy Wear-Green-or-Get-Pinched-Till-Yer-Purple Day!!

Ahhh, Ireland. A country whose greatest exports are the O’Rardins (hubby’s family), the Ryans (my family), clocks (seriously, I looked it up) and booze–not to mention really fun weddings and hilarious but slightly unbelievable stories–truly deserves its own holiday. And since I like to think that St. Patrick enjoyed a little poem with his glass of warm beer and occasional sing-a-long, I thought I’d celebrate this day with you thusly:

Ireland makes me think of leprechauns,
And fairies dancing nightly,
Also drunken, stumbling fauns,
And also Paddy Reilly.
Most of all,
On this great day,
Which should be ended strong,
I throw Da Vinci’s Notebook in for
Another Irish Drinking Song

So how are you spending St. Patrick’s Day, my dears?

–In honor of our own Irish lass, Eimear, whose inspiration reaches across entire oceans! Beannachtaí Lá Fhéile Pádraig to you too, friend!

Love St. Paddy’s day! Tonight when my friends and I are all off work they’re comming over to drink Guiness, watch the Boondock Saints, and eat boxty, and Irish nachos, and big slabs of fresh warm soda bread! Gotta stop before I start to drool. Lol!

Happy St Patricks! While the usual celebrations would be a day in the pub, this year its work for me, not much celebrating to be had! Sad times!

Ireland is just home for me (well Northern Ireland technically) so not so much with the Leprechauns etc, I do agree with the soda bread though! (toasted with lots of butter!)

Think i’ll go and watch Father Ted by way of celebration!

OMG! That song was hilarious! Not doing anything for St. Patty’s day other than staying home and watching American Idol, cause Orithani is going to be on XD, and then Criminal Minds. Ahh the life of a home body…. lol

Since I had a full day of work and a night of rehearsal, we celebrated by baking green Bailey’s Irish Cream cupcakes for our cast.

Bummer, Zita. Maybe your weekend will be better?

The soda bread sounds yummy, Sophie!

    Eimear, you naughty girl.

I know, Chelsey! Love that group!

    That sounds absolutely delish, Becky!

I wore lots of green and had my students decorate the classroom in green! Went out and had a green beer and then saw little green men before I fell asleep – like any good boozing Irish woman like I am!
