Movies
Watched two of the most different movies you could possibly view one after another last night. The 40-Year-Old Virgin followed by Lucky Number Slevin. (Totally inappropriate for kids, in case you were wondering.) I really liked them both, the first because Steve Carell is just hilarious, which got me past some of the grosser moments. Although the chest-waxing? Really, it was like watching torture.
The second movie kept me interested front to back. I thought it was very well plotted and acted. Of course, since I write about assassins, I was curious to see how another writer portrayed them. And I thought Smilovic did a pretty good job. Of course his assassin worked the “other” side, which made him a much darker character than mine. But still, it was interesting to compare.
Working on a really fun part of Bitten to Death now. Much hilarity is about to ensue. It probably won’t last long. It rarely does where my guys are concerned. They can be such party poopers. But the writing sure is fun.
Take care!
Jen

I just had to write, around the same time as you saw both of these movies me and a couple of friends did the same. Liked both of them as well. Thought it was a bit funny
