They came yesterday.   Two boxes of books bearing that dangerous, sexy cover with my name at the bottom.  I’d been sitting at the dining room table, trying to finish Bitten to Death.  The scene was so much on my mind I knew I couldn’t break from it for long.   But for just a minute I rubbed my hand across that cover and thought, Wow.  Finally.  Amazing.  And I looked up at the ceiling, (which, I’m sure, is not where the Major Player spends a lot of His spare time, but is generally where my eyes go when I address Him–blame the childhood religious training; it’s scarred me in countless ways)  and I said, “Thanks.”  Because when your dreams come true, it’s never only because of you.  So thanks also to those amazing pros at Orbit.  I wish you could meet them; they’re so cool.  And to my agent, who is so fun and full of excellent advice.  And to you for reading.  I’d be a sad, sad scribbler without you.

 The reviews have begun to surface.  The latest is at www.scifichick.com.  She’ll be posting an interview I did with her in a couple of days.  If you take Crimespree magazine, you’ll see an interview I did with Jennifer Jordan in this month’s issue.  And I just finished one with Faygie Levy of Romantic Times Magazine which, I understand, should run in their December issue, just in time for the release of Another One Bites the Dust.  Hey, in another couple of decades I might just get used to this!
