June’s Story–Another Chance to Vote!
As I mentioned before, next month I’ll be writing a short story and releasing it in parts (as I’ve done previously) to celebrate the publication of the mass market version of Once Bitten, Twice Shy. I’ve decided the most fun way to go about this project is to ask you to choose when the action occurs. I’ll be tallying votes until the end of May. At which time I need to know which you prefer:
1. I want to read about the time before Jaz partnered with Vayl, when he shadowed her during one of her solo missions in order to decide if he should take her on.
2. I want to read about an assignment that took place before Once Bitten, Twice Shy, but after Pete put Jaz on Vayl’s team. Maybe I could learn a little more about the origins of that incredible chemistry of theirs that way.

I think it would be great to learn what Vayl’s very first impression of Jaz was without her knowing that he was there. People often behave differently when they’re alone and don’t have to worry about anyone’s opinion about them.

You are SOO good to us! I would love to hear about Vayl spying on Jaz before they officially partner up. It’d be interesting to see if Vayl’s attraction is instant or does he try to convince himself that she’s just interesting because of her talent. Hee hee. Let the speculation begin!

#1 allows for better possibilities. Seeing Jaz work without Vayl around could have her working with a different personality.

One from before they partnered could be good. See what Vayl was thinking, where Jaz was at just after Matt’s death etc.

I know that this comment doesn’t help but I really can’t choose. I would very happily read either of them.
The chemistry and craziness that comes with Jaz and Vayl together could be matched by Vayl’s stalker capabilities with maybe a few close calls involved.
I can’t choose so someone do it for me!

Ooh, both are good choices, but it’s got to be #1. To see Jaz through Vayl’s eyes and get his first impressions (and when he immediately became smitten, no doubt). We can guess what qualities made him decide she was the right partner for him, but I want to hear it from Vayl.

it’s a hard choice, they are both so tempting! But i think i would like to read about number one! i am most intrested to see what Vayl’s first impressions of Jaz were. And also i would love see things from Vayl’s perspective.

But I’d really like to hear the first one too, because I really liked it in the last story you gave us where things where seen from Vayl’s point of view. What about using July as well? lol

Both look good but I vote for option one. Would be interesting to see it from Vayl’s POV and to get a chacne to see inside his head.

I would totally LOVe to read about #1! It would be very interesting, not to mention funny, to read about Vayl with his incredible stalking abilities. And I would also love to see how Jaz would solve a case on her own as well as how Vayl would be following her and what he would be thinking. But, I’d love to read one from #2′s time as well.

#2 for sure – Although I want to know why Vayl picked Jaz and what he thought about her I want to know how he was sure and how their feelings sparked – you can always combine them maybe have Vayl think of how Jaz acted.

i’d love to hear about vayl shadowing (stalking) jaz. with jazez vampire sencing abilities that could be a difficult task…i wonder if he would be the cause of one of her car acsidents. you know because she was sencing valy and thinking he was her target vampire…
