It’s Officially Official!!
Bite Marks releases today! Ta-da! Tra-la! Splat! (You knew I had to get that last one in–this is a Jaz Parks adventure after all!) I’ll be celebrating by sleeping in because I got all my work done tonight. Then Friday I’m going to Springfield, Illinois to give a big speech about Urban Fantasy to lots of school librarians who will either laugh often, or look at me blankly as if I had something stuck in between my teeth. I’m hoping for the former. That night–trick-or-treaters!!! Yay!!!
Saturday is a traditional Halloween parade which always cheers me up, usually because my kids are marching in it.
And then Sunday is the first of my book signings! Here are the details for those of you who live near enough to swing by:

Congratulations and major hugs! Thats a great way 2 celebrate! Personally, its got to be a celebratory get together with friends and family, for a nice meal and some boogying on the dancefloor! So much fun!

Yay! Sleeping in! You lucky person. I still have to get up at 6:30am every modnay to friday so i dont miss my bus, ugh. I cant wait to get Bite Marks! Sounds like THE awesomeness! I actually went the other day, but the shop had the books on order. Guess i’ll have to wait till Sunday.

Congratulations on the new book being released! I really want it, but very distressingly, I can’t seem to find it with the UK cover. I have all the other five with matching, mostly white UK covers. Having checked both Amazon.co.uk and the Book Depository, they both only seem to have the bigger non-trade size US paperback. I know that I’m sad and obsessive, but I hate when my books don’t match, especially when I already have 5 in a series.
Do you know if Bite Marks is going to be released in the UK with a cover more like the previous UK versions, or will I have to accept that yet again, publishers have decided to change the cover design of a series I love midway through?
Sorry to whine at you, enjoy all your promotional work and the joy of having another great book out.

Congrats Jen! I got the book yesterday, B&N already had it out, and ebook library posted it in the evening before I went to bed!
Anyways, I like to celebrate by having dinner at my favorite local Italian restraunt (Sweet Bella), and going out with my friends. It’s all good!
Can’t wait to hear how things went with the librarians!

Okay, Malin, I have a response for you and other UK fans who have, to this point, collected mass market (smaller) versions of the Jaz Parks series, only to be surprised by the larger (trade paperback) size of “Bite Marks.” This time around we’re distributing the book from America, which is why it’s in the bigger form, because that’s been our tradition with all the first releases here. Totally strange for you, I know, but that’s the only choice we’ve got right now as far as size is concerned. If Orbit decides to release the book in mass market size at some point, I will definitely let you know. Until then, I apologize for that tall book towering above your first five. But please give it some extra love. It probably feels a little weird sticking out from the crowd like that!
